Simple isn't it.

If you leave a TV or Video running when you're not even in the room it wastes energy, doesn't get any easier than that to Screw the Environment.

And..here's something you may not have known about TV's and Videos, they can use between 25% & 90% of their normal energy consumption whilst in standby mode!

Yeah! They use nearly as much power when you're not even using them, that's a great way to Screw the Environment.

Types of TV

High definition digital TV's use up to four times more power than CRT TV's and the bigger the screen, the more energy you can use just sitting on your sofa's watching TV!

There isn't much difference between types of VCR's so you have to go out of way to waste energy with them.

So...

If you want to Screw the Environment with TV's and Videos, DON'T:

  • Turn them off when you're not using them
  • Avoid leaving TV's and Video in standby mode
  • Buy a CTR TV which uses 4 times less energy than a HD Digital TV
