Driving

How to Screw the Environment with your vehicle:

"Get the biggest gas guzzling vehicle you can find then drive it as much as possible in a fuel hungry way"

Driving - thank god for cars.

Possibly one of the best ways to Screw the Environment available to the average person other than the environmental impacts they can have at home.

Cars are superb for Screwing the Environment. They generally use Fossil Fuels to provide power and in return, release large amounts of Greenhouse Gases like Co2, So2 and Nox.

Screw other people's health while you're at it.

With the right ingredients in place, combustion engine vehicles can also cause the formation of ground level Ozone, which contrary to popular opinion is not good for you, in fact it's more likely to give you lung cancer or Respiratory Failure.

Yup, the car is a Doozy.

And even better, you can waste a ton of money because of your car. Fuel efficiency depends on engine revs amongst other things, sitting in stop/start traffic uses more fuel than driving at a fuel efficient speed, as well as causing you stress.

Driving short distances instead of walking costs you more money and helps you get more unfit.

The alternatives.

So, don't be tempted to stop Screwing the Environment just to save yourself some money and because you would rather be fit and take some of the rush hour stress out of your life.

If you replace your car with a bicycle, or start using public transport more often, you'll not only save money but reduce your environmental impact and help prevent Global Warming.

Buying an electric or hybrid car will have similar benefits to the environment as well as being cheaper to run.

Also...

When your car is frosted up, easily the most inefficient way to defrost it is to leave the engine running while you make a cup of tea. Car engines don't get warm until they've been driven for a bit so catalytic converters don't work and lots of noxious greenhouse gases are spewed into the environment while your car fails to defrost.

This costs you money for the fuel, not much admitedly but over time it adds up so don't despair, you can still screw the environment at your own expense this way.

Don't..... use a scraper to clear your car of frost, it costs you nothing, is good exercise and doesn't pollute the environment.

You have been warned.
