Air conditioning

How to Screw the Environment with Air Con:

"Use it wastefully"

er...ok, but how does that Screw the Environment?

It uses a LOT of energy. In fact, in hot cities where Air Conditioning is necessary most of the year, it can account for up to 50% of the energy used by the city.

And all that hot air is vented straight outside so you're paying to heat up the outside as well as cool down the inside. Now that's dedication to Screwing the Environment!

So, have it on as often as possible, especially when you're not even in the room and make sure to use older inefficient models to maximise your impact.

Use it wastefully.

Leave windows and doors open to waste your nice chilled air. It's only like leaving the fridge door open but without having to worry about your food going off.

AC Common Sense.

If, on the other hand, you're more concered with not wasting your hard earned cash (and who could blame you) then it pays to use AC common sense and close the doors and windows to reduce the work the unit has to do.

This doesn't stop you heating up the outside though.

You have been warned.
